Part 2 Day 15 - Final Purple Show

Came in late today.

Was having very bad stomach today.

Maybe was the food.

Went into the 3D lab. 

Found Apple and Jing Yuan there.

And Shaun and Clinton nowhere to be found.

Watched the video for the last time before rendering.

By the time the rendering ended,

it was about 12 already.

we were getting all panicky and stuff.

anyway.

we thought that we could show our video from my hard disk

but it appears the computer downstairs in the LT sucks big time

and it wouldn't be able to handle the hard disk.

so we went back up,

queued for camera to upload into the tape.

cause of me...

i forgot to bring the video cam we borrowed.

SORRY GIRLS.

anyway.

so we tried the com jing yuan was using.

but it appeared that it couldnt do it.

cause not enough free space in the com.

so we looked around.

and i found one com.

so we plugged in the video cam.

and imported the video in movie maker.

so we started to transfer into the tape.

BUT...

HALF WAY!!

THE VIDEO CAM NO BATT!

so the whole transfer closed.

we plugged in the charger and started the transfer again.

after a while...

somebody tripped over the charger wire and it got disconnected.

so there went the video cam again.

transfer closed again.

STARTED ALL OVER FOR THE FOURTH TIME!

finally, it was only left Sholleh and I in the lab transferring.

so yeah.

there were many struggles as we rushed down.

but all went well in the end.

HOPE ALL OF YOU GUYS AND GALS LIKED WHAT WE SHOWED TODAY.

but i must say..

i think we did ourselves proud.

good job Apple and Jing Yuan!

other groups did great too!

all the best everyone!

it was a marvelous experience!

learning from one another and all.

editing, filming.

everything was just way the best thing so far.

though we encountered set backs and problems.

but we persevered and i would say our efforts paid off.

Part 2 Day 14 - Not Much Purple

There wasn't much for me to do today.

Caused i finished the subtitles for the spy already.

and it was only left with bloopers and jing yuan's animation part.

so i went down for lunch after finishing the subtitles.

that was about 3 plus.

went down with Kezia and Majorie.

We ended up talking in the canteen for an hour.

i then went up to 3D lab again.

but saw Jing Yuan sitting back-faced outside the lab.

so i walked over. and realised she was crying.

dunno what happened so i tried talking to her.

but she didnt answer me.

so i asked if she wanted to be left alone. and she did.

so i walked into the lab.

heard from apple that the whole animation that she did for the afternoon

couldn't be saved. and even exporting didnt work.

we tried saving in all kinds of places.

like desktop, u drive, my hard disk, Jing Yuan's thumbdrive.

all the responses were that everything was full.

no space??? my hard disk 100 over GB lorh.

o wells.

then we saw peng and described not very clearly what happened.

and asked if we could do anything to get the file back.

but i think we didnt say the right things and Peng thought that the com hung.

so he said hang arh. die lorh. no more already.

hahahhaah. Peng super funny come to think of it.

then we told Alfie about it since he was in the lab.

he said he'd try and get somebody to come help us.

Ronald! he tried mostly what we tried. 

and said the com looks like it's working fine...

and dunno why like that.

so off he went.

we didn't believe cannot retrieve the file.

So i msned Peng and he came to take a look.

WHOO!!! PENG IS OUR SUPERHERO!

he said the com like that cause the com NOT ENOUGH SPACE!

wah!!! so jing yuan deleted some stuff from the C drive and TADAH!!!

IT WORKED!!!

THANK YOU SOO  MUCH PENG!!!

he like saved us i think got more than 3 times lorh.

Part 2 Day 13 - Purple Audacity Day

We did the spy's narration today.

so we went to 3-10 one of the classrooms.

and did the recording of voice there.

after that we went back to the 3D lab.

Apple gave me the uploaded file in my thumbdrive.

i was supposed to import into audacity and remove the background noise.

but... it was an AVI formatted video.

so Clinton came to the rescue and he converted it into an audio file.

mp3 to be exact. he imported the file into premier i think

and exported it as an audio file.

anyways.

i got the mp3 version and started removing noise.

after removing noise...

Apple's voice sounded like she was a transformer robot.

hahhah... so spacey kinda voice.

so i tried removing the echo to make it not sound like she spoke in the toilet.

but after everything, Apple's voice sounded suicidal.

hahhaahha! so funny.

O wells... i tried. hope it turns out alright.

then... i did the subtitles for the spy's narration.

hahahaah...

i felt suicidal after that...

ahhaahha...

i think i repeated the voice over and over again to hear what she was actually saying.

not very clear. but i got there.

yay!

after that jen borrowed my hard disk so we stopped work for that day.

and we're in the 3D lab again.

Today. For the whole day...

i did the subtitles for the video.

Whoot!

Subtitling is fun.

to an extend.

but can be quite tedious too.

Part 2 Day 12.5 - Supposed To Be Purple Presentation

ooo... today... we presented in Ronald's office.

and it wasnt no class presentation.

It was more of a group consultation kinda thingy.

We waited for Raymond's group to finish their turn.

But it took like 2 hours lorh...

Super long.

Then we had to wait for Jing Yuan since she has another presentation for her other module.

So Sholleh's group went next. Then Jake's group.

By the time our turn came, we had to rush down 

from the studio cause we didnt expect the other two groups to finish within half an hour.

so we rushed from taking the equipment from upstairs.

Since we were prepared...

like real..

we borrowed Shu Xian's laptop cause the room computer was down.

sekali when we went up to Ronald's office...

Her premier couldn't open our premier file.

so we tried playing the quicktime rendered out one.

but her laptop didnt support quicktime.

So we plugged in my hard disk into Ronald's desktop.

But he didnt have premier nor quicktime either.

so he gave us 10 minutes to get everything settled and show it to him.

Down we went to 3D lab...

asking around for a laptop.

in the end we borrowed Jen's macbk pro.

LOVE MAC! IT'S ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU!

haha...

yeah. and we showed Ronald our quicktime file.

Though it was not really finished.

but he watched it and i think he quite enjoyed our video.

hahaha.. Whoo!

i think la.. think only k...

Just that our colour had to be corrected further and 

a little more editing here and there.

yupps. after we were done with Ronald...

We went to  the space outside design space to reshoot our spy crawling across scene.

OMG...

Apple accidentally tore the bottom part of Alfie's jacket.

DIE LORH.

haha...

it's just the sewing of the zipper that gave way.

so we'll have to send it for dry cleaning and alteration when we are done with our project.

Part 2 Day 12 - I Purple Forced?

Today. Actually Apple wanted to stay home and edit.

Didn't wanna come to school.

but i managed to convince her to come still.

Cause why waste a day's time when we can do other aspects not only visuals?

So... since Jing Yuan's sick, and Shaun's totally redundant.

therefore only Apple, Clinton and I met up.

We planned to do audio and fix it up with the video.

Those walking parts that we still have need some music

cause all there was was noise in the background.

anyway... Clinton and I were looking for audio that we thought were suitable.

but... it's not that easy.

Clinton said he'd bring home and do.

Since he loves using his own desktop better.

So there. we completed more editing and a lil of audio.

At least we all have a clearer idea of what our audio files were gonna sound like.

Part 2 Day 11 - The Great Purple Wait

Today, i had to take my own bus to school.

And it was pouring like no tomorrow.

So i decided to wear shorts. haahah...

i wore a green top, white shorts with green strip down the side

green socks and bright green shoes!

Whoo! hahaah..

and i brought only my wallet, my handphone

and an umbrella.

Well. i woke up very early.

since i had to give time to wait for the bus and all.

so i woke up and showered.

received an sms that apple would be late.

cause she woke up late.

so i decided to take the bus down to subway and buy my lunch before deading to school

and since i had time in hand i decided to take my own time.

i went to subway... super long queue due to lunch crowd.

bought my sandwich and took the bus down to school.

all in the heavy rain with a tiny black giordano umbrella.

super wet can... tsk tsk tsk...

went to 3D lab... ate my subway...

fed others in the lab oat meal and raisin cookies.

and it was 3 plus. we were supposed to meet at 12, then at 2.

wow.

nvm. wait lorh.

wait wait wait. finally apple came in...

saying they went to buy polo t.

WAHLAU. 

that was it.

at least tell me you need to go buy stuff la.

den i dont leave my house so early wad.

den make me waste time and wait.

sigh.

we made a big hoo ha in the centre of 3D lab

but got over it.

wad to do. waited so long already right.

So on we went editing. Editing editing editing.

and looked for some audio. a lil here and there.

Part 2 Day 10 - SOS. Asking For Purple Help

More editing done today.

Got help from him to merge the two videos together.

He came up with dissolving the two together.

but everyone in the video looked like ghosts.

so nonono.

The other way was to cut the top half of one video

and the bottom half of the second video.

but... the camera must be in the same spot for both videos.

and it cannot pan.

SO... MUST RESHOOT AGAIN.

cause one of our videos the camera panned.

aiyo...

anyways...

Peng said that our video was very draggy

and we should cut away our linkages cause all that walking makes our video a boring one.

so...

the other way we can link our scenes all together was to have a naration done.

haha. more work for us yo? LOVELY.

Part 2 Day 8.5 - More Editing.. Purple Cows Not Home

We carried on editing. and we have to reshoot certain scenes.

Cause either not shot properly or colour too much difference.

But mostly cause of the loose lens and the shield got turned.

and i covered the corners of the frame of the shot.

resulting in four black corners in our video.

So have to reshoot.

but... Jing Yuan didnt bring her jacket that Apple wore.

Cause it's in the wash. and some didnt wear the right clothes.

SO cant re shoot again.

Saturday, tmr come back again lorh.

Part 2 Day 8 - Edit Till The Purple Cows Come Home.

I seriously dunno what is going on.

Shaun brought his lap top cause he said he has premier.

But den... duno why cannot work.

so we used the school's com.

but den... no more audio.

so decided to re cut from the un cut video.

did a lil cutting here and there.

apple did most of it.

Part 2 Day 7 - Let's Not Get Purple Upset... But...

AIYOYO... 3D lab is still locked up.

So still no files to work with.

Only an empty brand new external hard disk.

Asked Clinton to go home, transfer the files into the disk

And bring it back to school.

BUT... he damn guai lan. PURPOSELY ONE LORH.

CONTRIBUTE ABIT CANNOT ARH.

he say if he go home, he dun wan come out again.

WIN ALREADY LORH.

so... magnanimous Apple went to the rescue.

She left with Clinton. Shaun tagged along.

Jing Yuan and I went one of the mac classrooms on the 6th floor.

Poor thing... It started pouring when apple and shaun came back.

and they got real wet.

and... best part...

all the effort... and no computer to work with.

so... waste another day lorh.

Part 2 Day 6 - Purple Went To School And Decided To Try Save The Day

We were unproductive again yo...

We had no files. cause files in wendy's disk were deleted.

So how? and we had no disk large enough to transfer from Clinton's computer.

Therefore we could only film the only scene left to film.

So we film film film film film... den...

After that, i decided an external hard disk is a must have.

So i went to Sim Lim and bought one.

Apple went with me too.

Part 2 Day 5 - Got Purple Chased Out

Today, we wanted to film the 2Danimation lab scene.

But there was a class inside.

So we decided to upload all that we have filmed into the computer.

So off to the 3D animation lab we went.

but... while capturing,

Alan came in and told us to get out of the room.

How to you tell me???

capturing half way can...

good thing he let us finish capturing.

BUT... the lab was going to be locked!

Out of bounds for a few days.

Die lorh. How to do work without our files is it...

so we negotiated in the room.

Since we didnt have a storage disk that could allow our whole file in,

we didnt have a choice but to decide to stop work for that few days.

So out we went, reluctantly leaving.

but...

Wendy and others were seated at the bench outside the lab

and she had an external hard disk!

whoot!

Thank you ya.

so we borrowed. and faster ran into the lab again.

apologised to Alan and hurriedly transfered the whole folder in.

Clinton went home and transferred the whole folder into his computer

since his computer had premier.

yay!

anyways.

jing yuan and shaun wanted to leave.

so we wasted another day again.

Friday, 29th February 2008.

Today, is not day no. anything.

It's Leap Day today!

We met in the studio today.

Apple and Jing Yuan were the first ones to arrive.

Then i came.

Just when i thought i was late,

Clinton and Shaun were later.

Clinton wasn't that bad.

He said he needs to leave at 2pm.

Fine with us.

So, we were rather pissed and decided to let him wait instead.

we went for lunch!

but in the end decided that it would be better to get over it.

Filmed much walking from scene to scene.

I think after that we called it a day

cause Jing Yuan had to go for class

and Shaun wanted to go off,

Apple meeting friends to watch Leap Years.

Part 2 Day 4 - Filming Spy's Purple Entrance

Okay. Let's just be honest.

I haven't been very a very ardent blogger recently.

I know I should have been blogging like the previous block.

But somehow.. I just lost that eagerness to sign in everyday.

Well, I apologise and i shall continue blogging everyday for the last week.

There seems to be a trend in our group.

Meeting time at 12pm, we turn up almost at 1pm.

I don't understand.

O wells. we all were late one time or another.

Notice the trend, follow it. =D

Okay. Today, we filmed the spy entering the school.

We set up the camera right at the top of the ramp

on the third floor of Design entrance.

Shaun and I were stationed at the other end.

I was standing outside the General Office

and Shaun at the security office, near the vending machine.

Jing Yuan was the camera person,

With Clinton standing beside her.

So how did we communicate with that distance apart?

Well, I called Jing Yuan on HP and we talked!

ahahah... yes. we talked on our mobiles.

So since i was beside Apple,

I gave her her cue to start running up.

At the same time, Shaun and I had to stop

People from walking past us

as we didnt want people in the background walking around.

And i remembered there was this idiotic lecturer from dunno which faculty...

He didn't give a damn about our video

and continued walking.

i told him, sorry, do you mind waiting a while before passing

cause we're filming this area.

and you know what he told me?

damn stupid answer can...

is those you will never expect from a lecturer.

lecturer give this type of answer,

how he gonna answer his students when they ask him questions you tell me...

WAHLAU.

i know he's a lecturer cause he was wearing a staff pass round his neck.

anyways, his answer..

Anyways, we took 3 shots in total.

so that goon du lecturer wasn't in our video.

some other idiot was. ahahaha.

and he was on the phone.

So, we took the whole entrance,

including the whole walk to Alan's room.

And our DM Fun. showcase of our works.

yay!

and Apple accidentally insulted my photoshop piece.

She said quite bad while giving her comments in the video.

i take it that she was saying Quite Good and Not Bad all at once.

Shortcut abit la.

Den... we went to the small area outside design space

to film our 2D art showcase together with video fun.

poor thing Apple, had to crawl with palms and knees,

lying on the floor, crawling from one end to the other.

aiyo.

but we're gonna do a merging of two videos so that Apple would appear in two outfits

in the same frame, scene of the video.

I think Apple very zai.

Part 2 Day 3 - Ahead Of Purple Plan

Yay!

We're finally ahead of a schedule.

hahaha... ya.

Cause we filmed an extra scene more than planed.

We did scene 1, 2 and 8.

which are.. opening discussion, spy master and last discussion,leaving room.

super!!

filming is SUPERBLY fun!!! SERIOUS!

but  quite tiring la. haahh.

Apple is such a sport!

she's super funny.

i think i will pai seh to be wearing so outrageously la.

Part 2 Day 2 - No Purple Battery?!?

Goodness... we didnt use the cam for one whole week

cause we had to redo the storyboard.

actually come to think of it,

we don't even know if Ronald wants a shooting board or storyboard

aiyo.

anyways. when we wanted to charge the cam before using it,

there wasnt even a battery inside the whole damn bag!

we searched like fools lorh.

and to no avail.

hhahah.

so jing yuan and apple went down to the store.

but... o no.

they were having lunch break. and so we had to wait till 1.30pm

before going down AGAIN. poor gals.

but when they went down again,

they had to persuade the Mr. in the store to loan us a battery.

but seriously who will believe la.

we didnt use the cam for whole week, 

finally when we want to,

no battery.

but thank goodness he believed us.

and loaned us a battery.

whoo! thanks!!

so then we went to shoot, after that whole adventure. hahah.

Part 2 Day 1 - Super Purple Long

Hey ho. Today's a new block. but still P1.

Thank God i dont have another module other than this.

Phew. Great man. At least i dont have to cramp the last bit up.

Anyways. We were supposed to hand in our storyboard, script, timeline by today.

but we were uploading the photos for our storyboard

into powerpoint and it took super long lorh.

Thanks to Zaihan who came to Apple's and my rescue.

He introduced us to a faster way by using the programme keynote.

It was MUCH faster. 

using powerpoint we did like 70 slides which meant 140 uploaded pictures.

that took us from around 12pm to 5pm.

and we were only like less than half way through.

SUPER LONG.

so using Keynote, we had to start uploading all over again.

in the end we finally finished uploading at 11pm. wow.

we had cup noodles for dinner kay...

so pathetic lorh. piang.

and i had to go home and do the captions.

O wells. that's for using my laptop.

hahaha. nvm la. it's my P1 anyway.
