Day 15 - Not Moving Purple On

Today we had our second interim presentation.

we had to present our storyboard and script.

We were group 4 and 

Raymond's group, group 1 presented first.

Sholleh wasnt ready

and Angie was late

so our group was up next.

We showed our photos as our storyboard

and i think maybe our idea didnt get across

to Ronald as well as it did to Alfie.

o wells...

Ronald said we have to do our storyboard again

cause it's not looking like the actual video.

but it is wad...

sigh.. ok lorh..

so we've decided to dedicate the whole of tmr 

to REDO our storyboard.

sigh... whatever happened to our drive we had...

o man...

good luck to us.

Day 14 - The Great Purple Upset

Hey fellas... i'm so sorry Apple...

i forgot my to bring my testimonial

so i took photo using photo booth

in the MAC lab. and Apple and Jing Yuan photoshopped it.

Thanks you two. 

After Apple got the profiles more or less done,

Jing Yuan was tired and slept.

Apple was tired too and slept.

I was slacking and didnt feel like doing anything.

Day 13 - Filming Purple Preparation

Today, NO PRESENTATION.

POSTPONED TO THURS.

wapiang... waste time... again.

So off we went to Mac lab...

i was finishing up doing storyboarding.

arranging the pics in order and stuff.

Apple, Jing Yuan were doing the profiles for us,

and since we needed to have our mug shots...

all of them were taking photos

with photo booth like CRAZY.

haha.. o wells..

we decided to use our sec 4 testimonials

as the chunk of text to fill up our profiles.

haha...

and photoshopping our profiles took up alot of time.

so that was all we did for the day.

Day 12 - End Of Purple Storyboarding

HEY HEY!!! today we met up late...

since there wasn't any scheduled class to attend...

so... we continued doing our photo storyboarding...

AND WE FINALLY FINISHED STORYBOARDING!!!

YAY!!!

tmr we're gonna meet up earlier to discuss

for tomorrow's presentation of script and storyboard.

hope we can do well for tmr's presentation!

Day 11 - Doing For The Purple Sake Of It

Our whole group thought that there wasnt lesson today

so we planned to come in at 1.

to our dismay... class was on that friday...

O no... haha...

o wells... when Alan came in,

we all sat down... and half the class wasnt present.

anyways... Alan decided that he'd go for Stephanie's meeting

and Monday we wouldnt have class.

So we would have present our script and storyboard to Ronald on tues.

then Alan left for his meeting.

I went to Alfie's class and waited for my group mates to come.

when they came, we went to the 3D animation lab 

and continued taking photos for our storyboard

after that i went for lesson at 3.30pm

after my DHC class, i went to the 5th floor studio

and found Jing Yuan and Apple there..

Making more clay models...

Cause some idiots played with our clay models and some of them broke.

Thanks soooo much idiots.

anyway... Yay! for we have new clay models thanks to

Jing Yuan and Apple!

Grateful for you two!

Day 10 - Not Purple Productive

Being Valentines day today...
All of us were in the super dun give me work kinda mood.
in the end we sat outside at the desk to
play with the small clay magnifying glass Jing Yuan and Apple did yesterday.
but after a while we decided to get back to work
and follow the schedule we drew up.

So off we went to the bookshop
and bought a brown "paper" file
to contain the spy's targets' information.
Then up we went to Mac lab...
we researched on more criminal records
and tried to use them as model templates.

well obviously the we only consisted of Apple, Jing Yuan and i
where were the other two?
God knows....
O... but they appeared at the mac lab after a while
and went on to sign in to their Friendster accounts...

then the "tranaparent" fella had to come
and pretended that he knew SOOOOO much about photoshop.
YEAH RIGHT!
whatever he did was what we did...
like in the end WE SOLVED THE PROBLEM.

o wells.. what to do... thank our lucky star we got such a great member in our group.

Day 9 - Never Knew That Purple

Today i went into class with the
"i so dun wanna do anything today" kind of mood...
But Alan totally changed the whole thing...
He was SOOO sporting!
*Pats on the shoulder Alan!!!*
i must say...
he sure brought his message across in a very creative manner.
i walked in a lil' late today. and we were randomly grouped up.
then we were told to write down what we knew about Alan.
subsequently we were told to write down what we Wanted to know about Alan
obviously with JY in my group there wasnt an end to STUPID questions...
which OBVIOUSLY show how childish he really is...

O wells... there were really dumb questions from all 3 groups...
like what's your bank acc password...
are you gay...
Seriously... cant you tell the diff between two good friends and a gay couple?
sigh... thought we were supposed to be mature in poly...
goodness...
but i dont deny that it was the really STUPID questions
that made the whole activity funny...
ALAN IS SUCH A GOOD SPORT!
and of course his sense of humour...
totally changed the day's mood

o... raymond asked if Alan was emo or suicidal...
WTH...
GET REAL RAYMOND.

Anyways.. Julian came in while Alan was answering the questions...
think they were going for a "meeting"
which just means coffee in our terms...
but Julian sat in with us...
and i think had about 10 minutes of good humour.
Well.. the whole point of the activity was...
show the lecturers and audience what they probably want to know about us.
rather than just MOI and it's curriculum...
let the people know about YOU.
After that Alan left with Julian
and our group left to do our props.

We went to the 5th floor studio..
and did some 3D clay models...
Thanks to Apple and Jing Yuan...
we've gotten some smalls clay objects done
to represent 3D art in our curriculum.

Yayho to today's getting to know about Alan day!

Day 8 - T'was Purple Storyboarding Day

Hello! Today we did our storyboarding!

Yay! Ronald was late today...

But saw Alfie and he walked in...

Told him we were going out to do storyboarding..

but he didnt really understand my question...

hahaha... and i had to repeat...

so out we went...

gonna start storyboarding... using photographs...

just as we were about to start...

Ronald came by and saw us..

told him we were doing storyboarding...

and he asked if we needed him there...

hahahha...

and i answered...

saying... no.. it's ok...

and he laughed... we all laughed actually...

hahaha...

ok.. maybe it's not that funny...

but it was rather hilarious at that point...

Ok.. back to what we were doing...

we started off doing the scene where the spy enters design school...

and Apple had to hide behind most of the pillars...

hahahha...

i think she was quite embarrassed...

well it was rather embarrassing...

hahaha...

her expressions were quite funny...

and most of the people were walking around

so it was rather difficult trying to shoot at design entrance

since there were so many groups of people walking in and out...

i think we kind of scheduled wrongly...

cause we wanted to do storyboarding today

and gathering of physical props tomorrow.

but how to storyboard without the props you tell me!!

so no choice... had to skip some scenes... sigh...

how come i so stupid arh? aiyo...

o... we couldnt use the 3d animation lab today too...

cause there was a class inside...

nevermind la... there's still thurs...

tomorrow we're gonna gather and make props.

but it was nice that we more or less got the whole thing figured out...

yay! good job to us! hahaha...

so... it was fun today... we had a lift scene...

and we played cheat... hahaha...

cause we used the cargo lift instead of the normal lift...

cause that one not many people use mah...

and it moves super slowly...

so... we'd have more time to shoot in the lift... WHOO!

hahha... we had to gather people to fill the lift.

so we got Candice, Jarold, Shermin, Germaine and Kyrin.

is that how you spell it? sorry.

and yay! we managed to fill the lift.

That was a rather funny scene.

then we headed to design space there..

and took the outside of the normal lift there...

so play cheat right... hahaha...

after that we went to 03-10f...

it was empty... so we shot there.

our introduction and ending scene...

Discussion scene to be exact.

it was rather funny...

cause we shot in a dark room

we didnt switch on the lights on purpose

to suit the theme, giving the scene a "mysterious" feel...

hahaha...

so i had to use slow shutter speed on my cam...

and since the shutter speed was slow,

they couldnt move too fast or there would be motion blur...

ya... they all moved like robots!

haahahah... one movement by one movement...

funny...

yupp... it all ended as they walked out the door and shut it.

great and fruitful day today. pat on the shoulder to all!

Day 7 - First Purple Day Back

Hey hey hey...

today was the first day back in school after the lunar new year hols...

it was a pretty relaxing welcoming day...

well.. we somehow, pretty much let the big who-ha pass...

and probably forgot some of the grueling details of the whole drama..

i think we'll get on... unless the irritating fella comes up with more nonsense...

till then we'll train up our "take him as the eat glass fella".

ok... back to business..

we discussed the whole sequencing of our video today!

Hurray!!

and a brief production schedule was done too!

i would think today's discussion was well carried out

and many of us were clearer of how the final vid would look like now.

i'm quite happy with our sequencing and our idea mainly...

though the content wouldn't be that interesting

since it's a propaganda for our course...

but i think the style of our shooting would more or less compensate for it.

anyways... we've also come up with our roles to play...

like I'm the cameraman... and Apple would be the spy..

O! we'll be having BARNEY as our special guest star...

hahaha! we'll be using him as our "spy's master"

well.. the modules that we'll be showcasing would be...

Ideation- brainstorming

Storytelling- The whole "drama" genre in our video

DM Fun- video editing, premiere..

Vid Fun- features outdoor shooting

2D Art- showcased finished paintings

3D Art- clay modeling for animation

Anim Fun- storyboarding and computer animation

Here's the schedule we've come up with for the next remaining days of this week.

13th - Tues - start storyboarding

14th - Wed - get all physical props

15th - Thurs - book time slots, come up with production timeline, scheduling

16th - Fri - Finalize script, come up with exact script

We believe we'll make it and we'll make it good. =D

Day 6 - Interim Purplelicious Presentation

hey hey hey... yupp yupp... today was presentation 1!

we all gathered in our own classroom today...

Yay! to Ronald's homecoming.. eh.. no.. homecoming?

Yay! to Ronald's return from Philippines?

aiya... Yay! to Ronald for coming back.

o. but i heard Wahida's sick.. aww... get well soon!

O.. today's presentation...

Since Alfie said there wasnt a need to do a powerpoint...

we didnt see to it...

but thank God i decided to do a brief one...

just to guide us along during our presentation

and we can explain clearly without missing anything out.

But... Goodness me...

all the groups turned up with powerpoint slides!

somemore theirs all long long...

all got alot of slides one...

we only had 5 slides! o no!

hahha... o wells...

but i still think we did our best trying to convey our idea across...

VERBALLY...

but Ronald wasnt listening while we were presenting.

and when he went through our slides he didnt really understand our idea...

So how???

O... rewind a bit...

we were supposed to meet at 11.15am today...

cancelled lunch with my mom you know...

then change to 11.20am...

i was there early... around 11am...

apple and jing yuan turned up next...

followed by shaun at 11.45am...

the other group mate smsed that he'd be 10 mins late...

so he should have been there at 11.3oam right?

but hor... he swaggered in design entrance at let's see...

11.55am? o wow... and he was the one who smsed the night before...

"dun be late" "we need to meet early to go through what we're gonna present"

thanks arh... such a morally honest person... =D

Anyways... we'll just make do without one group member's support.

and we'll just pretend that he ate glass when he was growing up...

and inherited the transparent minerals...

we'll get used to the rolling eyes... it's ok...

let's be compassionate and deal with it calmly...

since confronting the problem face on didnt really work out well...

it's ok... no worries...

we'll get there... =D

Day 5 - Purple's Waiting Confirmation

It's the 5th day it's the 5th day it's the 5th day...

omg.. tomorrow's the very first presentation...

yes yes... we're super excited... hahaha...

Today Ronald was still away... Nobody took over...

Alfie came in later on though..

So we were practically doing our own things...

But my group began to start on a powerpoint slide...

Anyways... we're pretty much settled on our "spy and crime" kinda style...

We waited till the end of class then came our turn to be able to consult Alfie...

He was sort of supportive of our idea... (I think)

but he said we were confused between style and theme...

o wells.. we're clear now.. cause thanks to Alfie! he explained everything to us clearly...

We're pretty much done with our idea...

Tomorrow we're meeting earlier in the morning to go through our presentation...

Yay! to all the groups! Good luck ya'll!

DAY 4 - Purple Change Of Plan

Today Ronald didnt come in

and Alan took over... (a whoo! for Alan)

We joined classes with Wahida and

watched parts of Capturing the Friedmans.

Interesting story and i like

 the unique style of the execution.

After that we went back to our classroom

after putting back chairs from the other room.

My group didnt really realise that "fun" wasnt a theme.

so when Alan said it wasnt,

we had to brainstorm and come up with our idea all over again.

I like our new idea.. it's not so cliche and direct.

We're gonna do it with the theme "CRIME".

YAY!!! hahahha...

We decided to hold our discussion at the bench outside

because the other groups were making sooooo much noise

that we couldnt even hear our own group mates...

tsk tsk tsk.. irritating!!

but after we came out and discussed..

some groups started coming out and leaving for makan session...

sigh...

Anyways... we continued our discussion 

and came up with a whole new thing...

Our idea now is more detailed 

and we also have a better vision of the final product.

we've discussed the execution...

the style... the roles each group member has to play...

and more importantly the content for the intro, body and end.

Hopefully our idea will work! Cheers!!
